Slab dining table

The single slab dining table   pictured is one single slab of English pippy oak estimated to be around 400 years old by our supplier.

The history our tables have seen is truely remarkable, this single slab dining table  probably fell as an acorn around the time Charles 1st ruled over us in the 15th century.

It grew in a very different countryside to the one we see today,

no planes, automobiles, electricity, gas, phones,

almost everything we take for granted in today’s society was non existent.

This tree was just left to its own devices to grow into a splendid majestic oak.

We hope that in our transformation from sawn slab to finished single slab dining table  we have done it justice,

although this tree will no longer grace our countryside its bemuse has not been in vain,

we have brought it back to life in another form as we do with all our slab dining tables.

Their beauty is in their simplicity, our customers comment that they feel humbled by having such spectacular hand picked tables in their homes.

All our timber comes from managed sources,

we use no illegal timber, for more information contact us at for your own slab dining table.
