Spalted beech dining table

What is spalted I hear you say!!, well quite simply a fungal infection that travels up the timber making very fine black lines through the tree.

Some pieces are very highly infected and the patterns are truly stunning.

The spalted beech dining table pictured is 2.4 x 1.2 x 75mm thick and as well as being spalted had some lovely flame like patterns on its surface.

The spalted beech dining table resides at the spaghetti house, london and is their feature piece of furniture,

it sits on two steel stands designed by the client and manafactured by creative ironworks, a small company that we work with.

If there is a project you have in mind contact us and we will endevour to fulfill requirements.
