A fantastic opportunity to own a piece of History

by fletch on June 10, 2009

A fantastic opportunity to own a piece of English history.

You could be the lucky person to own a particularly rare slab of Oak.

You are probably thinking what is so rare about this lump of tree, well try 500 years old, it  fell as an acorn when Henry v111 was king and stood the test of time through every major conflict and event up until 8 years ago when it fell down during a storm.

Today being the 8th June 2009, it is being milled into 3 inch slabs nearly 6 foot across.

These pieces will have to be air dried for 3 years before being made into a truly unique table.

We are lucky enough to have obtained 5 slabs, the rest of this huge tree is being cut for the construction industry, for timber framed buildings/internal timber work.

To our knowledge at this present time there are no single slabs of this size available  in the country, if you have an interest in owning a piece of this extremely rare oak, then please get in contact, the chances of having the opportunity to own these  beautifully stunning table tops will probably never happen again.

The Gentleman in the photograph is Ron, he is the manager of the sawmill where the Oak is coming from.
