Scottish burr elm dining table

by sharon on August 14, 2012

A spectacular Scottish burr elm dining table, constructed from a book-matched pair of elm slabs to our clients specification, seemingly a very strange request that on completion shows that the idea really worked well.

In the scottish burr elm dining table top we inlayed a interchangeable aluminium box, one with tea lights to warm plates and when not entertaining a box filled with pebbles and fitted with polished 10mm glass.

This beautiful Scottish burr elm dining table sits on two folded sheets of aluminium.

This once again shows the diversity of being involved with designing your own dining table.

This Scottish burr elm dining table will never be duplicated but similar work can be achieved, so if you have an idea of how to transform a slab of timber, get in touch and we will be happy to help.
