Table exhibit at Chimaera Art Gallery

by sharon on June 27, 2010

We are pleased to announce our work can be viewed at Chimaera Art Gallery, Tontine Street. Folkstone, Kent, from the 2nd of July 2010.

Our first two exhibits are both Scottish Burr elm, both stunningly beautiful with one finished in a specially formulated varnish and hand waxed, with the other finished in a high gloss lacquer.

They both stand on handforged legs made to our own design, unlike most exibits in gallerys we ask you to touch their surfaces and enjoy their beauty and natural edges, both finishes are exceptionally durable and will easily cope with the rigors of day to day life.

Scottish Burr elm is becoming exceptionally rare and difficult to source, so we thought it only fitting that our first two exhibits in the gallery were of this highly figured timber.

We hope you enjoy our exhibits and it gives you an insight into our work.

Directions:

Once coming into Folkstone, follow signs to the harbour, once at the harbour there is ample parking, Tontine street is opposite the harbour with Chimaera gallery approximately 200 yards on the right hand side.

This kind of art is just amazing, I am totally fascinated. Creating art through nature is great.
