SPALTED BEECH DINING TABLE
What is spalted I hear you say!!, well quite simply a fungal infection that travels up the timber making very fine black lines through the tree.
Some pieces are very highly infected and the patterns are truly stunning.
The dining table pictured is 2.4 x 1.2 x 75mm thick and as well as being spalted had some lovely flame like patterns on its surface.
